Perfect to have at home or take with you on holiday, the portable carbon monoxide alarm has a long-life 7-year lithium battery. It is available with or without a digital display. Helping to protect you and your family from the effects of carbon monoxide poisoning, you should have a CO detector in any room with a fuel-burning appliance, 1 to 3 metres away from open fires, gas cookers or boilers, and in bedrooms.
A popular choice for caravans, boats, and homes, the carbon monoxide alarm features a high-quality electrochemical sensor that ensures accuracy and longevity with a handy test and silence button. Automatically switching on when the alarm is attached to its mounting plate and off when removed, the CO alarm can be fixed to a surface or free-standing.
The display version shows CO concentration in Parts Per Million (ppm), Peak CO for the preceding 12 hours, and Carboxyhaemoglobin (COHb) percentage measurement, allowing you to see what happened while you were away. CE Marked, the Firehawk carbon monoxide alarm is approved to BS EN 50291 1:2010+A1:2012 and BS EN 50291-2:2010, plus it’s suitable to comply with the 2022 Scottish Fire Safety Legislation.

Content | Perfect to have at home or take with you on holiday, the portable carbon monoxide alarm has a long-life 7-year lithium battery. CE Marked, the Firehawk carbon monoxide alarm is approved to BS EN 50291 1:2010+A1:2012 and BS EN 50291-2:2010, plus it’s suitable to comply with the 2022 Scottish Fire Safety Legislation. | Fyreye Ultra-Violet Flame DetectorThe Fyreye ultra-violet flam detector is particularly suited to applications where flames can be expected to develop initially rather than smoke. This is typically due to the nature of the materials being protected for instance camera film, computer, audio & videotapes or disks. The detector is for indoor use only and should not be exposed to spurious sources of UV, such as sparks, uncovered halogen lights, lightning, etc. as these may trigger a false alarm. Due to the operational nature of flame detectors, it is generally recommended to fit just one detector per zone. | ActiV Conventional Optical Smoke DetectorThe C4416 Optical Smoke Detector uses an infrared light source and a photodiode to detect smoke. Light passes in front of the photodiode in a straight line in the absence of smoke. When smoke enters the optical chamber across the path of the infrared beam, light is scattered by particles of smoke in all directions, some of which fall on the photodiode, thus triggering the alarm. Optical detectors are typically used in escape routes, living areas, bedrooms and enclosed spaces to give an early indication of fire. They are particularly effective at detecting slow-burning fires (such as those caused by overheated electrical wiring or smouldering materials), which tend to generate larger particles of visible smoke. | The Apollo Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector detects smoke using an internal pulsing LED and a photo-diode at an obtuse angle. In clear conditions, the light from the pulsing LED will not fall on the photo-diode, but when smoke enters the chamber, smoke particles cause the beam of light from the LED to scatter. The photo diode then detects the scattered light. Three consecutive sensor activations are required to trigger an alarm state. An alarm state is signalled by increasing the current drawn from the supply from about 40μA to a maximum of 75mA – the control panel recognises this, and the fire alarm is activated. The inner sensing chamber is moulded as a labyrinth to prevent the penetration of external light sources, and there is an insect-resistant cover. These elements combine to make this a reliable optical smoke detector for any conventional fire alarm system. Upon entering an alarm state, the external LED lights up for easy identification. The moulded self-extinguishing white polycarbonate casing is identical to that of the Series 65 Ionisation Smoke Detector in all. Still, the external LED – on this smoke detector, the LED is clear during normal conditions but illuminates red during an alarm. In contrast, the LED on the ionisation smoke detector is coloured red whether it is illuminated or not. | ActiV Relay Base with DiodeThe C-Tec C4408DR ActiV Relay Base with Diode is compatible with C-TEC’s entire range of ActiV fire detectors. | The carbon monoxide detector with display will produce a loud alarm to alert your family to poisonous gas in your home. Saving lives from the silent killer, this unit incorporated an LCD screen which constantly shows the current CO levels and will constantly monitor levels using the built-in sensor. Battery powered and supplied with 3x AA batteries as standard, this CO alarm features a latched battery compartment which prevents the alarm from being fitted to the wall without batteries. With LED status indicators – green for power, amber for fault and red for alarm – when activated, the alarm sounds at an impressive 85dB at 3 metres. Tested and compliant with EN50291-1:2018, the battery carbon monoxide alarm with the display is manufactured by Mercury with a 10-year sensor. Recommended for all homes, especially in rooms with boilers, stoves or open fires. |
